BébéSounds Angelcare Movement Sensor w. Sound Monitor w. Two Parents’ Units Sale
Buy BébéSounds Angelcare Movement Sensor w. Sound Monitor w. Two Parents’ Units. The Bebe Sounds Angel Care Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor detects your baby’s slightest movements, even while she sleeps. While it may seem that your baby is perfectly still when she is sleeping, she really isn’t. An alarm will sound on the Bebe Sounds Angel Care Movement Sensor with Sound Monitors & 2 Parent Units alerting you to check your baby only if she becomes absolutely still for 20 seconds and no movement whatsoever is detected. The under-the-mattress Sensor Pad detects your baby’s slightest movements. If your baby goes absolutely still for 20 seconds, the Sensor Pad sends a signal to the Nursery Unit which sounds an alarm alerting you to check your baby. If you are out of the baby’s room, the two portable Parents’ Units (Sound Monitor) will pick up the alarm as well as other nursery sounds. In addition, the Nursery Unit has an optional tick feature. If the Sensor Pad senses movement, the Nursery Unit will continuously tick. If it doesn’t, the ticking will stop. The two Parents’ Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping. Your crib must have a hard flat surface. If it does not, just place a piece of masonite or a board under the mattress and place the Sensor Pad on top of the masonite and under the mattress. You may order the masonite directly from us. Be sure to place the correct side of the Sensor Pad facing up. The Bebe Sounds Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor requires 12AAA batteries, which are not included.

Parents of preemies and infants at increased risk of SIDS lose a lot of sleep wondering if their babies are still breathing. Even parents of healthy babies experience this kind of anxiety. With its movement sensor pad, sound transmitter, sound lights, and movement detecting “ticking” sound, The Angelcare Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor can take away virtually all this anxiety.
Three Functions, Infinite Peace of Mind
The Angelcare Movement Sensor has three modes of use, enabling parents to use the sensor/sound monitor well into toddlerhood and beyond, if desired. With the Sound & Movement function, you can hear your baby’s sounds, see sound lights, and hear a “tic” sound with every movement the baby makes. If no movement is detected, the “tic” will stop and after 20 seconds the alarm will sound. In the Tic Off mode you will not hear the ticking sound with every movement. However, you will still hear the baby’s sounds and see sound lights, and your baby’s movement is still being detected. An alarm will still sound if absolutely no movement is detected for 20 seconds. And finally, with Sound Only, the movement sensor is disabled, but you will still be able to hear your baby’s sounds and see sound lights. In this mode, the Angelcare functions as a regular sound monitor. For many parents, just being able to hear the sighs and squeaks of the newest member of the family is reassurance enough. For those who need more input, for whatever reason, the additional sensory features of the Angelcare can be lifesaving.
How the Angelcare Movement Sensor Works
A sensor pad is placed under the center of baby’s crib mattress on a flat, hard surface. The sensor pad cord passes underneath the mattress entirely, exiting the crib in the corner. It is then plugged into the jack of the nursery unit transmitter. The nursery unit can be plugged into an electrical outlet or it can operate with four AAA batteries. The same goes for the parents’ unit receivers (two parents’ units included). Turn the parents’ units on by selecting either channel A or B. Make sure they’re set to the same channel as the nursery unit. Set the nursery unit to the desired mode (Sound & Movement, Tic Off, or Sound Only). You may leave one parents’ unit in your bedroom and carry the other with you as you move about the house and yard. Now, depending on the function you’ve selected, you’ll be able to keep track of your baby’s every sound and movement.
Sound Lights
Indicator lights on an LED sound bar (on the parents’ unit) allow you to “see” your baby’s sounds if background noises prevent you from hearing baby. As baby’s sounds get louder, more lights illuminate.
Optional “Tic” Feature
When the nursery unit is set to Sound & Movement, it will continuously tick with every movement your baby makes. If no movement is detected by the sensor pad beneath baby’s mattress, the ticking will stop.
Movement Indicator Light
The movement indicator light is located only on the nursery unit. When the nursery unit is set to Sound & Movement or Tic Off, the movement indicator light will flash green with baby’s every movement. The flashing green light will let you know that movement is being detected, which will allow you to check on a sleeping baby in the dark.
False Alarms
False alarms are possible with the Angelcare Movement Sensor, especially if instructions have not been followed to a “t”. Make sure to turn off the nursery unit after you’ve taken baby out of the crib. Also, once baby starts being more mobile, she may roll right off the sensor pad area of the mattress. A troubleshooting guide in the instruction manual gives other solutions to false alarms.
What’s in the Box

BébéSounds Angelcare Movement Sensor w. Sound Monitor w. Two Parents’ Units Review
Do you know it’s normal for newborns to stop breathing in their sleep? Most babies have the mechanism in their brain that turns the switch back on, to breathe again. However, some newborns do not have this switch. This is why there is SIDS. Also, did you know….if your baby did stop breathing and you, the parent, knew they stopped breathing-just going and picking them up or even touching them, will also trigger the brain to breathe again (as long as it is right away, as the alarm sounds).
This monitor is worth every penny. We only paid at our local Babies R Us. We did have to call around to a few locations to finally find one of these.
With my first child, I never got any sleep. She was born a few weeks early and was ill due to acid reflex, she couldnt keep any milk down. She was a breastfed baby, but was very weak. Back then, I didn’t know about this item, I wish I did. My husband and I would take turns to stay up all night with her, to make sure she was always breathing. As a first time mom, SIDS was a scary thing (still is, even with our second baby). I remember being the most tired I had been at any time in my life. Those first months should have been a lot more joyous.
With my second daughter. She was delivered at 35 weeks (preemie) and was a perfectly healthy baby. However, any type of preemie has an increased chance of SIDS. My preemie still thought she was in my womb and would not wake up at all for the first month at home. She was in a sleeping coma. She wouldn’t even want to wake up to eat. I was very worried about her 20 hours of sleeping all day/night. The first few days home I would watch her sleep all night and never sleep myself. By the 3rd day of this, I couldn’t handle the no sleep thing, so I read about this item and had to buy it.
LIFE SAVER PRODUCT ALERT!! Get this! It’s worth every penny.
Once my husband brought it home, we started to set it up right away. Our crib didn’t have a hard base under the mattress, so we measured the crib and went down to Home Depot, to have a slice of ply board/wood cut out to put under the mattress and above the frame/box (the wood piece only cost ). You MUST have a sturdy bottom to get accurate readings. Once the monitor is set up, you’ll need to adjust the level of sensitivity. It may be a bit tricky at first, but only should take a few adjustments. Also, you can have a constant ticking sound on, which is the baby breathing. Dont worry, you do not have to have this ticking sound on, just to know your baby is breathing. For a test run, without the ticking sound on, you may need to have your baby sleep for a nap, then take your baby out, after the nap, without turning or touching the monitor/alarm. Once you walk out of the room, the alarm should go off (because its not picking up any movement). You will know, the alarm is working, if the alarm is sounding, once your baby has been removed from crib. Be aware, if you are walking near the monitor, it is so sensitive, that it picks up footsteps, so the monitor will not trigger if are moving all around the crib.
THANK GOD, I found this item. There were a few times in the first few months, my daughter did stop breathing and the alarm went off. Even though, it’s most likely, she would have started breathing on her own. The sense of knowing and the peace of mind is WORTH having this item. I love this alarm. It’s a life saver.
